Instructions Of Making Tongseng Ayam

1. Prepare the Spice Paste
Start by grinding all the spices listed under “Spices to Grind” until smooth. Once the paste is ready, heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the paste until it becomes aromatic.

2. Add the Aromatics and Chicken
Next, add the bay leaf, kaffir lime leaf, galangal, and lemongrass into the pan, stirring to blend the flavors. Once the aroma is released, add the cleaned chicken pieces and mix everything well.

3. Simmer the Chicken with Coconut Milk
Pour in the coconut milk and chicken broth powder, stirring gently to combine. Let the mixture come to a gentle boil and continue simmering until the chicken is cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent the coconut milk from curdling.
